Richie Goddard | Community Inclusion | Advocate

Richie Goddard is a respected Rotary leader, community advocate, and champion for inclusion who believes strong communities are built through service, connection, and a shared sense of purpose.

Originally raised on a family-operated beef property in Hernani, NSW, Richie developed a deep appreciation for community, resilience, and leadership from an early age. Today, he serves as a Rotary Community Leader within Rotary South Pacific and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Sawtell, supporting clubs and strengthening community engagement across the

region.

Beyond Rotary, Richie is President of the Mid North Coast Disabled Surfers Association, where he helps create life-changing opportunities for people of all abilities to experience the freedom, confidence, and joy of the ocean. His commitment to inclusion extends across his volunteer work, coaching, mentoring, and community programs that empower individuals to reach their full potential.

A former swim coach and learn-to-swim instructor, Richie has dedicated much of his life to helping people build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills. His outstanding leadership and commitment to service have been recognised through RYLA Oceania awards for Building and Contributing to a Good Culture and Service Above Self.

At the 2027 Rotary District 9685 Conference, Richie will share practical insights into leadership, culture, volunteer engagement, and creating communities where people feel valued, connected, and inspired to contribute.
