Peacebuilder – Past Rotary President – Barrister

David Hirsch is a respected peacebuilder, barrister, and Rotary leader who will present at the 2027 Rotary District 9685 Conference – Connect, Collaborate & Celebrate, taking place in Mudgee, New South Wales, from 12–14 March 2027.

As a Past President of Sydney Rotary, Chair of the Sydney Rotary Peacebuilding Group, and an Ambassador with the Institute for Economics and Peace, David brings decades of experience in law, leadership and global peacebuilding.

During his keynote presentation, David will explore Rotary's enduring commitment to peace, from the vision of Paul Harris to Rotary's contribution to the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Sustainable Development Goals, and Rotary's Peace and Conflict Prevention area of focus. He will also explain the Global Peace Index and Positive Peace Framework, providing practical insights into how communities can become more peaceful and resilient.
